Thanksgiving

Nursery 2 spent time learning all about the concept of saying thank you to Hashem for many things that we have. We learned that there is a special day set aside to be thankful- Thanksgiving. The children discussed that it is always important to say thank you and especially to say thank you to Hashem. We made special turkey hats to explain what the children felt it was important to thank Hashem for. The things they felt were important we remarkable. It truly showed how well they really understood. Morah also read a book to us that really gave us a good idea of the different kinds of things we can be thankful for. We saw that it could really be for anything at all. Whatever we felt in our hearts was the right thing to say. There were no wrong answers.

Emotions-All About Me Unit

Our class learned all about how we all have different emotions insides of us. We can feel happy, sad, angry, scared, surprised etc. Morah read a book to us that showed us so many different emotions. We spoke about what makes us feel this way and how we need to handle ourselves. If for instance we are feeling angry we discussed that we need to use our words. The children had a chance to play  a memory game using pictures of different emotions. They had so much fun! We also practiced making the different faces just to see what we look like and to get a better idea of the concept as we went along.

ALEF BET UNIT

Nursery 2 has begun to learn about the Hebrew Alef Bet. We started with the letter Alef. The children are able to identify the letter as well as tell us which of their friends names begin with this letter. The children had so much fun making and wearing our Alef hats.

ALL ABOUT ME UNIT

Our class has been continuing learning our All About Me Unit. We have discovered that there are so many people who love and care about us. We know that there are many ways for them to show us this. We also know that we are all special and loved. These are some of the books that Morah read to us to help us to understand this concept better.
